Amazing Portrait of Jackie Chan Made of 64,000 Chopsticks

In celebration of Jackie Chan’s 60th birthday, Malaysian artist Hong Yi (who also goes by the name Red) created an amazing portrait of him using 64,000 CHOPSTICKS! Being an artist who paints without a paintbrush, she wanted to use something that would portray him as an actor, martial arts master and environmentalist. Hence, she used chopsticks as they are something that Jackie Chan used during Kung Fu scenes in a few movies like the Fearless Hyena and Karate Kid. Red used disposable bamboo chopsticks that she collected from cafes, stalls and factories in Zhejiang and Beijing. She spent the entire month of March conceptualizing, planning and sourcing materials.
