Artist Blows Bubbles Onto Her Pottery, and It Looks Great!

Typically, most people don’t want their dishes to look like they have water marks all over them.

For this artist, however, water residue is the name of the game.

Hedy Yang makes her pots using bubbles to create a marble effect. Using a straw, some colored glaze, and some dish soap, she blows bubbles onto her works as they rotate on the pottery wheel. All she has to do is wait for the bubbles to pop on their own and her work is done. What results is a piece of pottery that would make a welcome addition to any art deco-themed room.
