Artist Explores The Unnatural Embrace Between Marble And Acrylic Glass

The Romanian artist behind these incredible pieces believes that imperfection creates beauty, and it is quite hard to argue to the contrary. Each piece is sublime and unique in its visual splendor, and speak to both natural processes and the refinery of mankind. They are at odds with themselves, yet wholly complete.

Eduard Locota is based in Timisoara, Romania and has never been much for diplomas and certificates. “I’ve always focused toward unparalleled results, practical abilities, high creativity and excellence,” he says.

The surreal magic that emerges from the natural details of his work is difficult to ignore, and when the light hits the glass you can find yourself on a visual adventure. There are dark seas to dive into, warm forests to explore, and grey skies to be wary of. His works are simultaneously minimalist yet packed with stunning beauty and detail. It is, as he says, an unnatural embrace yet it is wonderful to witness.
