Using spray paint as his tool of choice, artist Douglas Hoekzema creates dazzling ripple-inspired murals that catch the eye and play with color. They are reminiscent of mandalas, or portals into new and exciting dimensions. They are impressive in scale yet are richly detailed.
Using his artist name of Hoxxoh, he has been exhibiting his work around the world which has a resulted in a mass of people wanting to descend into his stomping grounds of Miami, Florida. Though originally from Colorado, Hoxxoh now has a studio in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood where he works with another local artist.
He has been commissioned to work on murals from Vienna to Washington D.C., and shows no signs of slowing down. Whether it’s found inside a shoe store or on the side of a hotel, Hoxxoh’s work has been impressing and grabbing the attention of millions around the world.
