For those unaware, truly terrifying and nigh-apocalyptic wildfires have ripped through northern Canada, causing a scale of destruction unseen in that region’s history. An early spring, record high temperatures, and almost no precipitation have combined to bring hell on earth to Canada’s tar sands region.
More than 88,000 people have been ordered to evacuate, and the city of Fort McMurray is being engulfed in flames as we speak. One of those evacuees is John Craig MacIsaac. John, like many others, had very little time to grab the essentials and get his family to safety with towering flames just a few yards away. In the midst of the chaos, one of his daughters reminded him about what’s really important in life.
