Have you ever wondered what an Early Christian Church might have looked like? Well, artist Edoardo Tresoldi has shared his interpretation – in the form of a full size mesh structure in Siponto, Italy. With hundreds – possibly thousands – of yards of mesh wiring and the help of Italy’s ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Tresoldi’s exhibit has been said to connect archaeology and architecture in an as of yet unseen way.
The interior holds many solid structures and exhibits, but with the light shone on it at night, the structure stands as a figurative and literal ghost of churches past. It is amazing to see a glimpse into the history of our world.
