Glass Symphony: Handmade Glass Creatures And A Celebration Of Color

Based in the Ukrainian city of Kiev, Nikita Drachuk is the person behind an incredible collection of small and delicate glass treasures. Entitled ‘Glass Symphony’, Drachuk’s works encompass numerous animals such as crickets, bees, slugs, and even salamanders, among others.

Very little is known about Drachuk, as she can only be found on Etsy selling her incredible works of glass art. However, it is known that Drachuk primarily uses a technique where a high-temperature torch is used to melt colorful glass rods. This is called ‘lampwork’ which is a lovely – if somewhat – unusual name for such a thing.

These pieces are quite a sight to behold. They are brimming with color and liveliness, and take on familiar animal forms. They are a sublime display and appreciation for the natural world, and we are reminded of the delicate nature of such things. There is surely more to come from this talented Ukrainian artist.
