Ruth Oosterman is a Canadian artist with a very creative and precocious toddler. Living and working in Toronto, she has her own studio but has taken to doing collaborations with her young daughter. The result are often surreal, abstract, and spectacular.
A self-described prankster, Ruth discovered the beauty and innocence in collaborating with her young daughter to bring new and unique works of art to life. In layman’s terms, her daughter makes the rough draft and she puts the finishing touches and bring forth what she and her daughter see in the paintings. It’s marvelous to see such passion and talent in their lives.
