Stone And Resin Combined To Make A Table Resembling A Coral Reef

Oscar Wilde famously said that, “Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life.” While many would argue for or against such a position, he’s definitely wrong as far as we are concerned with this stunning example. French artist Alexandre Chapelin has created a beautiful stone and resin table that resembles a coral reef.

If you took photos at the correct angle and cropped out the edges of the table, you would immediately assume this was some rocky reef somewhere in the Mediterranean or Caribbean. It’s a wondrous and lovely example of art imitating life, be it deliberate or not.
