Mother Nature has a sardonic sense of humor.
If the people of Pompeii were around today, they’d tell you that an erupting volcano is nothing to sneeze at. They have the destructive force to wipe an entire city off the map while still leaving enough corpses encased in ashes to remind anyone who passes that a fire mountain completely wrecked shop.
That’s why it’s both funny and disturbing when an erupting volcano cracks a smile – literally.
In the video below, an active volcano can be seen with a large, cracky smiley face made of magma in the top of its gaping maw right before it blow everything to Kingdom Come.
